Sobre Tiago
Since returning to Portugal in 2020 (from the United States), Tiago has worked full-time for international corporations in fields related to communications and customer satisfaction. In 2021, he created his project connecting his passion for languages and communications, teaching foreigners about the Portuguese language and culture. What started as a project, became a business.
He founded “Language Consultancy by Tiago”.
Not only does he teach European Portuguese and English (American) on a 1-to-1 basis, Tiago aims for every student in the classroom to gain knowledge and practice application immediately. Above all, Tiago’s focus is on building his client’s confidence. Tiago says, “Strengthening your confidence is more essential than memorizing verbal conjugations.” His key vision is that language is used to open doors, to connect with and understand others, so confidence should be at the foundation of any language learning process. The program is based on language comprehension and speech communication. Other services focus on text editing, preparation for interviews and proficiency exams, and more.

I aim for every student to gain knowledge and practice application immediately. My program is focused on language comprehension, translation, and speech communication.
I'm a certified 1-on-1 private European Portuguese and English language consultant based in Portugal. I work with global clients daily. As a teacher, I value the marathon more than the sprint. I will support your language growth and success by helping you build a strong foundation and motivating you to practice with locals as soon as you enter the classroom.

There's space in the classroom for all students, from beginners to advanced ones. Beginners will focus on the basics of sentence construction and simple thoughts. Intermediate students will already write texts, read articles, and discuss general topics. Advanced folks will be improving their complex intellectual thinking, reading literature, and preparing for interviews.
Other services focus on text editing, public speech preparation, exam preparation, and translation. This is without forgetting the four pillars of any language learning process: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You'll get prepared for all of them!
