Sobre Mario

Hello! My name is Mario, and I'm a native Brazilian Portuguese teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching Portuguese and English.

My passion for languages began when I was a teenager. As an AFS volunteer, I hosted exchange students from different countries and helped them improve their Portuguese while adapting to life in Brazil. Later, I had the opportunity to become an exchange student myself and spent a year living in the United States. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for different cultures and a firsthand understanding of the challenges of learning a new language.

Because I speak English fluently, I can explain Portuguese clearly and make the learning process easier, especially for beginners. My goal is not only to teach grammar and vocabulary but also to help students communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations.

I enjoy meeting people from around the world and creating a relaxed, motivating environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and improving with every lesson. Whether you're learning Portuguese for travel, work, family, or simply because you love Brazil and its culture, I'll be happy to help you achieve your goals.
