Sobre Roma
Languages and cultures have always been at the center of my life. I see languages as bridges — powerful tools that allow us not only to communicate, but to truly understand different ways of thinking and living.
I have a strong background in language learning and teaching, with a C2 level in English (19/20 at university level) and over five years of teaching experience. I am also currently completing a Master’s degree in Teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language, which has shaped my approach to language learning as a structured, yet natural and engaging process.
I lead an active and curious lifestyle, and I enjoy exploring Portugal beyond the obvious, often discovering small towns by bike. I divide my time between Lisbon and a picturesque village in the north of Portugal, where I cultivate my own vegetables, cook, and embrace a more intentional way of living.
Teaching is especially meaningful to me because it allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds and to witness their progress over time. Supporting students as they gain confidence and express themselves more freely is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

My English lessons are designed to help you speak confidently and naturally, with a strong focus on real communication rather than memorization. Having lived and worked in the United States, I bring authentic language use and cultural context into every session.
I have over five years of teaching experience and a C2 level in English, certified at university level with a high distinction (19/20). My academic background in language teaching — including my ongoing Master’s in Teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language — allows me to apply effective, student-centered methods that make learning engaging, interactive, and meaningful.
A typical lesson may include:

- Work with authentic materials such as podcasts, articles, or videos
- Natural integration of vocabulary and grammar
- Personalized feedback to improve fluency, accuracy, and confidence
I specialize in helping students develop practical communication skills for everyday life, work, or personal growth.
For younger learners, I also offer engaging in-person lessons (within 10 km), focused on building confidence through interactive and enjoyable activities.
Each lesson is tailored to your level, goals, and interests, creating a supportive environment where you can progress steadily and effectively.
