I am a CELTA-certified English language teacher from the United Kingdom, with over 14 years of international experience, teaching across Asia and Europe. My journey as an educator has taken me to diverse classrooms, from bustling urban centres to serene rural settings, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students—from young children taking their first steps in English to seasoned professionals aiming to refine their communication skills.

My teaching career began in Spain after earning my CELTA certification, where I quickly developed a passion for helping students unlock their potential in the English language. Over the years, I’ve taught in public schools, language centres, and provided one-on-one private tuition. My experience spans traditional classroom settings as well as the rapidly evolving online teaching landscape, where I’ve spent the last 5 years honing my skills in delivering engaging and effective online classes.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the opportunity to work with students of all ages and backgrounds. In Vietnam, I taught children and adults in public schools and language centres, where I crafted lessons that were not only educational but also exciting and interactive. I’ve worked with students as young as kindergarten age, using games and creative activities to make learning fun, and I’ve guided adults through the complexities of English grammar and vocabulary, helping them achieve their personal and professional goals.

In Hanoi, I spent four years specialising in IELTS preparation and Business English, where I developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of professionals in various fields. My students have included university graduates, engineers, nurses, digital creators, teachers, lawyers, office managers, HR staff, game developers, and more. Each of these professionals came to me with specific goals—whether it was passing a critical exam, contract negotiation, improving business communication, or mastering the language needed for their specific industry. My teaching approach is tailored to meet these diverse needs, using a combination of course materials, real-world examples, and interactive exercises to ensure that my students are not only learning but also able to apply their knowledge in practical situations.

Working with children is also a particular passion of mine. I love creating storytelling and writing activities that spark imagination while building vocabulary and grammar skills. Games, creative exercises, and fun reading comprehension activities make learning something they look forward to.

I take great pride in creating a classroom environment that is welcoming, supportive, and conducive to learning. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable and engaged, so I strive to make my lessons as dynamic and enjoyable as possible. Whether we are having a free-flowing conversation, debating current events, or diving into a complex grammar topic, my goal is to make every lesson both informative and enjoyable. My teaching style is relaxed yet professional, with an emphasis on quick, effective correction and continuous feedback. I’m dedicated to helping my students improve their English skills with minimal pressure, allowing them to learn at their own pace while keeping the process fun and stress-free.

Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience in lesson planning and curriculum development. I specialise in Grammar, Conversational and Business English, Phonetics, IELTS Exam Preparation, Reading Comprehension, and Storytelling & Writing for Young Learners. My lessons are always tailored to the student, making English learning both effective and enjoyable. I’ve designed my own lesson plans, tailored to the specific needs of my students, and also worked with established resources from various educational platforms such as Linguahouse.com and course-books published by Pearson, Oxford and Cambridge amongst others.

My experience spans teaching and assessing students in speaking, reading, and listening skills, creating English language and British culture lessons for adults, and developing engaging educational games for young learners. I have successfully prepared hundreds of students for various English proficiency exams, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed and advance to their chosen universities.

I take great satisfaction in seeing students gain confidence in English and achieve their goals. Every lesson is an opportunity to learn, have fun, and grow—whether it’s a young child exploring storytelling and creative writing, a teen preparing for IELTS, a university student refining their thesis, or an adult preparing for a job interview or improving professional communication. I design lessons that are engaging, personalised, and results-driven, helping each student make real progress while enjoying the process.

Through tailored guidance, interactive materials, and a supportive approach, I help students build their skills and confidence in English. Each lesson is structured to be practical, enjoyable, and rewarding, giving students the tools to use English effectively in their studies, work, and everyday life.
