Sobre Sebastian
You know, I was born in Chile, and when I was 15, I jumped on a plane to New Zealand – literally flew into the future because of that 16-hour time difference. Landed there and boom, I was 16 years old!
In this new land, I could understand some of what people were saying, but man, responding? That was the hardest part. I'd hear the words, know what they meant, but when it was my turn to talk... nothing would come out right.
Everything changed when I made my first real friend – Reikorangi, a Maori kid, also 16. With him, I felt comfortable enough to actually speak. We both loved Biggie Smalls, so we'd talk about that, and suddenly the words just started flowing easier.
That's when I realized something important: words come out easier when you feel comfortable.
And feeling comfortable speaking English? That's a skill all by itself.
People always say you can learn by watching movies and listening to music. Sure, that helps you understand the language. But the only thing – and I mean the ONLY thing – that'll get you to a level where you actually feel comfortable speaking? I assure you, it's conversations.
Real conversations with real people.

É tipo uma ponte universal, sabe? Não importa se você está em Portugal, na Austrália, ou aqui em São Paulo – o inglês sempre te tira de uma situação complicada. Foi o que me permitiu fazer amigos, pedir comida, encontrar lugares, resolver problemas... tudo.
Por isso que eu ensino línguas agora. Eu sei na prática como elas transformam a sua experiência no mundo. Te dão liberdade, confiança, e fazem você se sentir em casa em qualquer canto do planeta.
