Where to begin .... she is a very dedicated and professional teacher. Regardless of your level, you quickly get immersed not only in the language, but the culture, customs, and “living” in Portuguese. The classes and materials were always well-prepared. She gets to know your interests and use them as a learning tool, and in my particular case, she woke up my interest to learn about Brazilian literature and history. She is knowledgeable in current affairs, which helps you be on top of the vocabulary and expressions being used on a day-to -day bases, encouraging the four pillars in the language learning process: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
On a more personal note, she is very approachable, kind, patient, fun , and sweet.

Achei que fosse impossível aprender Português. Alguns textos eram verdadeiros enigmas para mim.

No entanto, tudo começou a mudar quando comecei a fazer aulas particulares com a Carla. Ela é uma excelente didática e sabe muito bem incentivar os alunos a mergulharem no mundo da leitura. Além disso, ela torna mais fácil o entendimento de conceitos gramaticais. Foi uma ótima experiência e super recomendo a professora :D

Carla es una profesora super simpática con amplios conocimientos en la enseñanza de portugués para extranjeros, sin dudas es una excelente profesional! Ella es dedicada, predispuesta y con mucha paciencia. Comencé a estudiar con la profe hace 6 meses (sin conocimientos previos) y hoy en día estoy interactuando por medio de las redes sociales con nativos de todo Brasil. Su metodología es dinámica y muy entretenida. Además, ella se preocupa mucho por sus alumnos y los acompaña todos los días en el aprendizaje del portugués brasileño. La Recomiendo muchísimo, es la mejor profe de la plataforma! No te vas a arrepentir!

A Carla é uma incrível profissional com muito conhecimento, mas principalmente, muita didática. Ela transforma o processo de aprendizado em uma jornada muito interessante relacionando os objetos de estudo com cultura, música, arte, literatura. Posso dizer que, com certeza, a Carla não tem só domínio técnico do que faz e ensina, mas muita bagagem cultural, pedagógica e excelente relacionamento com estudantes. Aliás, esse é outro ponte forte: ela tem muita empatia e simpatia para lidar com diferentes públicos. Ela não só faz tudo isso bem como ama o que faz. Recomendo fortemente.

Carla is a very interesting and dedicated teacher, who had analysed well my needs in Portuguese, teaching grammar and making me discover vocabulary through activities about Brazilian culture, art and history. We had really good exchanges, with activities to work oral expression in different situations and talks about travel, music and various other subjects, all in a good ambiance ! I really had the feeling to progress fast with her classes and I spent very good moments learning Portuguese with Carla.

Carla is probably the best language tutor I have ever had.
As a senior executive of a big multinational agricultural corporation a few years back, I happened to got relocated to Brazil for some prolonged period of time.. with zero Portuguese. Goes without saying it was really hard to get around, including the office, where people were supposed to speak English but mostly didn't.

Company hired Carla to give me the basics but the lessons were so interesting and helpful that in about 3 months I felt confident enough to maintain simple conversations and in 8 months since I started the classes, I was holding meetings and explaining division results in Portugues in front of my fellow colleagues in our São Paulo office. It was incredible. Now, a couple of years after I returned home, thanks to Carla who gave me the inspiration to develop my Portuguese even after I didn't have to use it anymore, I keep watching movies, read articles and enjoy talking to my Brazilian and Portuguese friends in their mother tongue. I keep telling my friends that a part of my heart is left in Brazil, and Carla's sessions played an important part in it.

I am sure Carla with all her knowledge, experience and flexible approach to her students will as much inspire you all to develop your Português.
